Team Picture Day Scheduled

Team and Individual Pictures will be taken before games on Sunday May 16th at David Park.

Your team will be scheduled for pictures 30 minutes before the game. If your teams play at 1pm, you should have your player/cheerleader at the field by 12:30pm. Your team mom will be distributing package and pricing information as well as scheduled picture times in the coming week. Even if you will not be purchasing individual pictures, please have your child in attendace for the group shot. If you will be purchasing prints, all packages must be paid for the day of pictures on site.

Important Scheduling Change

Due to the pending inclimate weather we made the decision to cancel the mandatory parent meeting/practice for Saturday and Pre-Season Games for Sunday. The rain is forecasted to begin this afternoon and continue through Sunday morning.

All teams will continue to hold their regularly scheduled practices today (Friday, April 23rd) and next week.

We will brief your Team Moms on the meeting agenda items and she will communicate to all parents next week.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to getting the season started on Sunday May 2nd as planned!

Mandatory Practice and Parent Meeting - Saturday April 24, 2010

Hello NIFFL Parents!

At the start of each season we try to hold an informational meeting for our parents to be sure we can answer your questions and go over important details for the season. This will take place Saturday April 24th, 2010.

Practice will begin at 1:30pm at David Park in Zion, IL

The Parent meeting will begin at 1:30pm as well, in the bleachers of the baseball diamond. This meeting should last only about 30 minutes.

We look forward to meeting all of you and getting this amazing season started!

NIFFL Spring Season Updates

Hello NIFFL Fans!
It's almost that time! The 2010 Spring NIFFL Season is gearing up for action. Here are some important updates regarding registration, evaluations and more.

Player Evaluations and Registration
Saturday April 10, 2010 1:30pm - 3:30pm David Park Zion, IL (east of ZBTHS)
During this time parents can complete registration for their players, pay any remaining fees and get information for the upcoming season. Coaches will be on hand leading skill evaluations for players. Evaluations are not mandatory but high recommended as this will help the coaching staff draft the players based on skill level.

Coaches Meeting and Player Draft
Wednesday April 14, 2010 7:00pm location to be announced
Coaches will meet to finalize any necessary paperwork, be briefed on organizational guidelines, and game regulations. Coaches will then participate in the draft to fill their rosters. Players will be contacted by their coach no later than Friday April 16, 2010. Practice times and locations will be set by the coaches. Any questions surrounding practice time, locations, etc should be directed to your Team Mom. Team Moms will be identified during the week of April 18, 2010.

Season Opener
The Spring Season will get underway beginning Sunday April 25, 2010 1:00pm at David Park Zion, IL. All teams will play each week. Schedules will be distributed during the first practices and posted on the NIFFL blog each week.

Parent Meeting
NIYSO will be scheduling parent meetings for all parents/guardians of Flag Football Players and Cheerleaders. Meetings will be scheduled in the coming weeks and dates will be published. We ask that each child have a representative attend at least ONE meeting.

North Shore Elite Cheerleading Academy Camp Starts Today!

There are still spaces available for the camp starting tonight!

Camp begins tonight April 5th, at 6:30pm at Kenneth Murphy School in Beach Park. The camp continues Wednesday April 7th, Saturday April 10th and concludes Sunday April 11th.

Cost - $35
Campers can register on site.
