It's hard to believe the we are winding down the season and getting ready for the play-offs and championship game already! In just a couple of weeks, we will be crowning new champions for the NIFFL Fall 2009 Season. Play-off information will be posted soon.
Even more importantly, we are gearing up for a great banquet to celebrate the season and everyone's hard work.
We have reserved the Shiloh Center, a facility of the Zion Park District, for the event. Each player will receive an individual trophy and the winning teams will be presented with a large championship trophy which will be engraved with their team name. Championship trophies will be displayed at all future NIFFL events.
Lastly, we are asking that each team be responsible for contributing an item for the banquet. NIFFL will be providing all of the food. Please see the list of items below.
Here are the particulars:
Date: Saturday November 7, 2009
Time: 5:30pm
Place: Shiloh Center - 27th & Emmeaus Zion, IL 60099
(South East corner of Shiloh Park, south of the Duck Pond)
Cost: Each player will receive a ticket for themselves and 2 additional family tickets. Additional guests will need to purchase a ticket for $5. For example - if there are 2 players within one immediate family, those players and 2 additional people will be admitted free. Any additional guests will need to purchase a ticket. This also applies to coaches with children that are players. Coaches without children playing will receive one additional ticket for a guest.
Tickets: Each player will receive their tickets and 5 additional tickets to sell at practice next week. Money for guest tickets will be due Saturday October 24, 2009.
-Team Responsibilities -
Bears: 12 pk bottle water per player
Giants: Fruit punch canned 12 pack per player
Vikings: Coke/Pepsi canned 12 pack per player
Steelers: Diet Coke/Pepsi canned 12 pack per player
Broncos: Plates and napkins - at least 16-20 plates per player
Panthers: 2 bags of chips per player
Chargers: Orange pop canned 12 pack per player
Cardinals: Assorted pack of silverware - at least 24 forks, knives and spoons per player
Please be sure to give your items to your coach or a NIFFL board member at practices or games. Items are due by October 31, the day of the championship game but you can definitely start bringing them right away!
