CONGRATULATIONS CHAMPS!
After a super exciting weekend of playoffs and championship play we have reached the end of our 2009 Fall Season. Drumroll please.......
CONGRATS TO THE STEELERS AND BRONCOS!
Both games were awesome and we want to give a special recognition to the GIANTS AND CARDINALS for a spectacular season and making it to championship Sunday!
Also, in what will probably become a tradition, we had 2 exhibition games as well. The moms and dads took to the field in 2 exciting games.
It was STEELER moms vs BRONCOS/CARDINALS moms before the first Championship game.
Then during halftime, teams made of up dads and coaches from
STEELERS vs CARDINALS, BRONCOS, PANTHERS, CHARGERS took to the field.
CONGRATS to the BRONCOS/CARDINAL moms for pulling out a win in a spirited game! The Dads/Coaches game ended in a tie but was definitely an awesome game to watch.
Once again, it was an amazing season and while we are sad to see it come to an end, we are gearing up for an even better Spring season! Stay tuned for registration information in the coming weeks!

WOW lots of great action on the field for the NIFFL 2009 Fall Playoffs! Here are the final results.

REMINDERS....
Hello NIFFL Parents!
Just a few reminders as we bring this exciting season to a close.
Team Pictures
Tonight, Friday October 23rd we have pictures at the Liesure Center in Zion. Please refer to your hand outs or contact your coaches for scheduled times.
Playoffs and Championship Games
Playoffs will be played Saturday October 24th. The winners of those games will play each other on Sunday October 25th for the Championship. We highly encourage all teams to be at the field to cheer on the players on Sunday. We will have concessions both days.
End of Season Banquet
Just a reminder for the items that your team was assigned to bring for the Banquet. Tickets will be distributed to everyon tonight at pictures and available over the weekend as well. You are NOT REQUIRED to sell any additional tickets but if you think you will have additional family and friends that want to attend, they will need to purchase a ticket. Each player will receive a set of tickets that they can sell for $5 each. We will need to a final headcount by Saturday October 31, 2009. We cannot garuntee that guests without a purchased ticket will be able to attend.

Don't forget, Spring registration opens on November 1st!

Player/Team Pictures
Hello NIFFL Parents!
PMI will be taking team and individual pictures on Friday 10/23 during and after our weekly Friday practice. Pictures will take place inside the Leisure Center in Room 3. Below is a list of the times, PMI is asking that each team be inside the Leisure Center 15 minutes before pictures start so we can respectfully make smooth transitions from team to team. Attached please find the order form. If you decide not to purchase individual pictures, please try to make it for the team photo, we want to be sure everyone is represented!. We appreciate everything you do!

Schedule Changes
In an effort to try to beat the weather, we have moved some games up to allow us to finish the season a week early. This will also free up 10-31 for all the kids as well. Please see the new schedule below.

Looking for Volunteers
Hello NIFFL Supporters!
We are looking for volunteers for a few upcoming projects. If you have some time to give to the following NIFFL projects let us know right away!
End of Season Banquet - 1-2 parents to assist the Board in set up and clean up. We ask that you arrive at 4pm or stay about 30 minutes longer on the evening of the banquet to assist.
Fall Food Drive - need 1-2 parents to head up this project
Winter Coat Drive - need 1-2 parents to head up this project
Spring Season - yes, we're gearing up for our biggest season yet! We are expecting to exceed our numbers from last spring so we are looking for parents to committ to helping with various committees. If you are willing to join our awesome team, let us know right away! We will begin meeting to prepare for spring registration soon!

Team Pictures
Team Pictures will be taken Friday October 23, 2009 beginning at 6pm. Teams will be scheduled for pictures during practice. For teams that do not practice on that day, please plan to be present to have your team picture taken. Picture packages range from $14-$22. We should have order forms available this coming week. We will have more information such as what time each team is scheduled for their picture and when pictures should be delivered, in the coming week.

It's hard to believe the we are winding down the season and getting ready for the play-offs and championship game already! In just a couple of weeks, we will be crowning new champions for the NIFFL Fall 2009 Season. Play-off information will be posted soon.
Even more importantly, we are gearing up for a great banquet to celebrate the season and everyone's hard work.
We have reserved the Shiloh Center, a facility of the Zion Park District, for the event. Each player will receive an individual trophy and the winning teams will be presented with a large championship trophy which will be engraved with their team name. Championship trophies will be displayed at all future NIFFL events.
Lastly, we are asking that each team be responsible for contributing an item for the banquet. NIFFL will be providing all of the food. Please see the list of items below.
Here are the particulars:
Date: Saturday November 7, 2009
Time: 5:30pm
Place: Shiloh Center - 27th & Emmeaus Zion, IL 60099
(South East corner of Shiloh Park, south of the Duck Pond)
Cost: Each player will receive a ticket for themselves and 2 additional family tickets. Additional guests will need to purchase a ticket for $5. For example - if there are 2 players within one immediate family, those players and 2 additional people will be admitted free. Any additional guests will need to purchase a ticket. This also applies to coaches with children that are players. Coaches without children playing will receive one additional ticket for a guest.
Tickets: Each player will receive their tickets and 5 additional tickets to sell at practice next week. Money for guest tickets will be due Saturday October 24, 2009.

Bears: 12 pk bottle water per player
Giants: Fruit punch canned 12 pack per player
Vikings: Coke/Pepsi canned 12 pack per player
Steelers: Diet Coke/Pepsi canned 12 pack per player
Broncos: Plates and napkins - at least 16-20 plates per player
Panthers: 2 bags of chips per player
Chargers: Orange pop canned 12 pack per player
Cardinals: Assorted pack of silverware - at least 24 forks, knives and spoons per player
Please be sure to give your items to your coach or a NIFFL board member at practices or games. Items are due by October 31, the day of the championship game but you can definitely start bringing them right away!
