Parents and Players,
We’re just a few weeks away from the first game of the 2009 NIFFL Season. Over the past couple of weeks the NIFFL Operations Board of Directors has been working hard to get everything ready behind the scenes. Now it’s your turn!
For those of you that are returning from the spring season: Welcome Back! For the rookies: Welcome Aboard! Over the coming weeks we have several events planned during the final push for recruitment. As you all know, NIFFL is a non-profit organization that offers the area’s most affordable football program. We want to make sure any and every child in the area can benefit from everything we have to offer. Here is where you can join us and take action! We need as many parents, players and supporters to help us recruit and register. We have the following events planned over the next couple of weeks:
Walk Up Registration:
NIFFL will be hosting walk up registration at area stores in the coming weeks. Representatives from the league will be available to answer questions and register players on the spot. All forms will need to be completed signed and fees collected during registration. Once a player is registered via the walk up registration, there are no additional steps required other than paying fees and submitting birth certificates. We except partial payments ($25 minimum) in order to reserve a roster spot. However the participant will not be issued a jersey until the balance of the fees are received. For additional information on walk up registration dates and time, or to sign up to help out please contact Maia Hoard at 847-529-0870
Neighborhood Canvassing:
Sometimes the best advertising is word of mouth…so let’s get talking! NIFFL Players and parents will be going out into our neighborhoods to recruit players, answer parent’s questions and hand out flyers. This is fun, easy and doesn’t require much of a commute! While we only require parents to volunteer a minimum 1 hour per player, this is a great way to get involved and get to know everyone! If you are interested in taking part in canvassing your neighbor in support of our program, contact Maia 847-529-0870, Pam 224-436-2691 or Stacia 224-637-5811 for materials and information.
